SEN Skills for Life represents 15 clips of filmed drama and animation for a target audience of young people (aged 12-16) with learning difficulties. With story lines developed in conjunction with young people representative of target viewers, 11 of the clips have been produced as mini-dramas addressing core issues with significant pertinence for the target audience. Issues covered include: bullying, peer pressure and sex, appropriate behaviour, online safety, stranger danger, dealing with feelings, team work, personal safety, independence, social skills, friends and relationships. Distributed by the BBC, SEN Skills for Life was nominated for a Children’s BAFTA award in 2009. January 2009
