Michael is a hard-working, technically versatile editor who has gained diverse experience in multiple disciplines including advertising, documentary and drama for both broadcast and non-broadcast platforms. Since starting in the industry he has built a reputation for his reliable, can-do attitude, as well as, possessing a keen eye for detail and creative flair. In 2009, he co-edited a series of educational mini dramas for the BBC Learning Zone. This received a BAFTA nomination at the Children’s BAFTA awards later that year.   SEN Skills for Life represents 15 clips of filmed drama and animation for a target audience of young people (aged 12-16) with learning difficulties. With story lines developed in conjunction with young people representative of target viewers, 11 of the clips have been produced as mini-dramas addressing core issues with significant pertinence for the target audience. Issues covered include: bullying, peer pressure and sex, appropriate behaviour, online safety, stranger danger, dealing with feelings, team work, personal safety, independence, social skills, friends and relationships. Distributed by the BBC, SEN Skills for Life was nominated for a Children’s BAFTA award in 2009. The film asks the question-did the British and French Governments, by banning arms and military support to this fighting Franco, miss the opportunity to stop the rise of fascism and therefore World War 2 in it’s tracks?
